Meet our judges
Sandy Curl
Sandy holds judging cards with AQHA, NSBA, APHA, ApHC, PHBA, PtHA, ABRA, AMHA, and AMHR, and brings with her more than 40 years of judging experience across multiple breeds and disciplines.
Throughout her career, she has judged some of the most prestigious shows worldwide, including the 2024 All American Quarter Horse Congress, the European Paint Championships, the Australian Paint Championships, and the Level 1 Eastern Championship Show, as well as World Shows for all the breeds she is carded with.
Beyond the judge’s stand, Sandy has also been deeply involved in education and mentorship, having coached numerous youth and amateur riders to World and Reserve World Championship titles.
Sandy often says she has the perfect life — giving riding lessons, judging horse shows that allow her to travel and meet wonderful people, and living in what she calls paradise.
We are truly excited to have Sandy join us in Scandinavia (Sweden) and share her experience, knowledge, and passion with our community.
Manita DeFoor
Manita brings over 20 years of judging experience to the arena. She holds judge cards with AQHA, NSBA, APHA, PHBA, PtHA, ABRA, and POAC, and is widely respected for her consistency and eye for correct performance.
Alongside her judging career, Manita has successfully operated a training and breeding program for more than 40 years, specializing in American Quarter Horses. Throughout the years, she has coached clients to AQHA World Show Championships, Congress and Reserve Congress titles, as well as multiple State Championships.
This will be Manita’s first time judging in Sweden, and she considers it a true honor and exciting opportunity to judge for the association.
We are truly excited to welcome Manita to Scandinavia (Sweden) for her first time judging with us. It is an honor to have her share her experience, knowledge, and passion with our community.

After hearing from many of our Select riders, we’re excited to introduce something new for Celebration 2026.
As a trial for this year, we will be offering NSBA 50 & Over classes in selected classes.
This is something many of you have asked for, and we’re happy to take this step and see how it develops within our community.
Because sometimes the best ideas come from simply stopping for a moment — and listening.

-We’ll once again kick things off with move-in and Paid Warm-Ups on Wednesday, followed by show days -Thursday through midday Sunday. Expect a great lineup of NSBA, AQHA, APHA and all-breed classes, great people, and that unbeatable Celebration atmosphere we all love!
